Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what personal data Web Smart Rankings collects through this website, why we collect it, who can see it and the choices you have.
Who We Are
In this policy, “Web Smart Rankings”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business that runs this website (websmartrankings.com). We provide search engine optimization, reputation management, website design and software development services. For any question about this policy or your personal data, email us at info@websmartrankings.com.
This policy covers personal data collected through this website. When you become a client, the proposal or agreement we sign with you may include further terms about the data we handle for you.
Information You Give Us
You can use this website without telling us who you are. We only receive personal data about you when you choose to contact us:
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, company (optional), the service you are interested in and your message.
- Email, phone and WhatsApp: whatever you choose to share when you write to us or call us, such as your name, number and the details of your request.
Please do not send sensitive information, such as passwords, payment card details or health information, through the form.
Information Collected Automatically
- With each inquiry: the page you sent the form from, the type of browser you used and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. We keep the hash, not the address itself, and use it to stop spam and repeated automated submissions.
- Server logs: like every website, this site runs on servers provided by our hosting company, Hostinger. Their servers record standard technical information for each request, such as the IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser type. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and are kept by the host under its own retention policy.
- Analytics and advertising tags: see Cookies and Similar Technologies below.
How We Use Your Information
We use the personal data described above to:
- reply to your inquiry and prepare the free audit, quote or proposal you asked for;
- discuss and deliver services you decide to buy from us;
- keep this website secure and protect it from spam and misuse;
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not add you to a mailing list or newsletter. We use your details to reply to you because you asked us to (your consent), to take steps you requested before entering into a contract, and, for security and spam prevention, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site safe. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Who We Share It With
Your personal data is seen by our own team and by the service providers that help us run this website and deliver your messages:
- Website hosting: Hostinger hosts this website and its database, where inquiries are stored.
- Email: the email service we use to receive and answer inquiries.
- Analytics and advertising providers: only if these tools are switched on, as described below.
We may also disclose personal data when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a court or government authority, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law allows for such transfers.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
This website does not set cookies for visitors on its own, with one small exception:
- Exit popup: the first time we show you our “before you go” message, your browser remembers that it has been shown (in local storage under the name
wsr_exit_popup, or in a cookie of the same name that lasts one year if local storage is unavailable), so you are not shown it again. It contains no personal data, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings. - Administrators only: people who sign in to manage this website receive a session cookie that keeps them signed in. It is never set for ordinary visitors.
The site owner can choose to add analytics or advertising tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel or the LinkedIn Insight Tag. If any of these are switched on, they may set their own cookies or similar identifiers and collect information about how you use the site (for example, the pages you visit and the device you use) to measure visits and the performance of our advertising. Each provider handles that information under its own privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most providers offer their own opt-out tools.
Links to Other Websites
This website links to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp and our social media profiles. When you follow one of those links, the other site’s own privacy policy applies, and we are not responsible for how it handles your data.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep inquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and to manage any work that follows. If you do not become a client, we delete your inquiry once it is no longer needed for that purpose. If you do become a client, we keep the records our agreement and our legal, tax and accounting obligations require. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, as explained below.
How We Protect Your Data
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Inquiries are stored in a database that only our authorized team can reach, through password-protected accounts, and visitors’ IP addresses are stored only in hashed form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and review them regularly.
Your Rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, you have the right to:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase your data when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- have a grievance about the way we handle your data addressed by us;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR also give you the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, to withdraw consent and to complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@websmartrankings.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will reply within the time the applicable law requires.
Questions and Grievances
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to raise the matter with the Data Protection Board of India or, if you are in the EU, EEA or UK, with your local data protection authority.

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the way we collect or use personal data changes, or when the law requires it. This version is effective from , and the date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
